I recently shared the planned departure of our President & CEO Amy Evancho. Again I want to thank Amy for her eight years of service to FEDC and wish her all the best in her new endeavors. On Friday, May 1, the Board approved Beth Kirkland as Interim Executive Director. Beth has served FEDC in a number of roles including Vice Chair of Marketing & Communications, Board Chairman 2012-13 and most recently as Vice Chair of Membership. She has had a 15-year career in economic development consulting and is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
Beth’s firm includes Julia Hennessy, an FSU Junior majoring in International Business with an emphasis in Urban & Regional Planning. Julia will be heavily involved in Membership Services & Development. Please communicate openly and often with Beth ([email protected]) and Julia ([email protected]) as we close out FY2014-15 and launch into 2015-16. Your continued investment and participation in the mission of FEDC is crucial to our renewed focus on Professional Development. Our offices will be located in Tallahassee. Updated contact information is included here and can be found on http://www.fedc.net.
