Thank you to the FEDC Board for all of your hard work! Our future board meetings will continue to focus on strategic planning and implementation. During our Board meeting, we also discussed the 2011 Legislative Session. Bill Lambert, Amy Evancho and several others are putting together a great team for Economic Development Week in Tallahassee starting March 28th, 2011. Please mark your calendars and plan to come to Tallahassee!
On the immediate horizon is the launch of the new FEDC website and logo! Beth Kirkland and Amy Evancho have been hard at work with Love Consulting Group building and developing the new look and feel of FEDC. As Amy mentions in her message this month, we appreciate your input and ask that you schedule time to join one of the focus groups via teleconference.
Finally, in my last message to you all I mentioned that I hoped my next month’s comments would be about our defeat of Amendment 4. May I say I am completely pleased that is the case! Overall, the candidates that support economic development were elected and I am looking forward to the state’s future.
Remember we value your input and membership to FEDC and put the challenge to everyone to bring in one new member this year!
With kindest regards,
Florida Economic Development Council
