Marc Hoenstine, CEcD Honored for his Service to the Tampa Bay and East Central Region
Tampa, Florida – The Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC) Marc Hoenstine, Economic Development Manager, Progress Energy – Florida, the recipient of the inaugural Regional Director of the Year Award. Marc was recognized with a standing ovation at the 2012 FEDC Conference Awards Luncheon for his dedication and time spent advancing the goals of the FEDC.
“Marc has been incredible as a board member in promoting the mission of FEDC. He has gone above and beyond in serving on the Board as a Regional Director and committed his time to professional development initiatives. It is leaders like Marc that make the FEDC a great and growing organization,” said Amy Evancho, President and CEO of FEDC.
Marc served as Regional Director of Tampa Bay for the 2011-12 year and has been reelected as Regional Director of the East Central Region. Marc helped to advance the professional development and brand of the FEDC by hosting a Green Energy Webinar, served on the 2012 FEDC Conference Planning Committee helping to secure valuable speakers and sponsorships, including Progress Energy, and hosted a Dine Around dinner during the 2012 FEDC Conference.
The FEDC Regional Directors are the face within their region and assist FEDC in promoting the brand and mission of FEDC, encourage and drive membership within their region and assist FEDC in identifying key advocacy issues within their region.
