Lakeside Station Logistics Park is a Title Sponsor of the Plant City Economic Development Opportunities Forum to be held on May 6, 2015 at The Trinkle Center at Hillsborough Community College’s Plant City campus from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Titled “Plant City. Right. Now.,” the Forum is an opportunity for local, county and state government officials, as well as successful local companies, to highlight the Plant City area and to invite corporations to relocate, build and grow as part of this vibrant community.
With access to I-4 merely five minutes away, Lakeside Station Logistics Park includes 1,400 acres zoned for mixed use (MU-CRI) with nearly 1000 acres of developable uplands. Industrial users will benefit from direct railway access at the property’s northern boundary. Planning for development of Phase I is in progress with a variety of sites for industrial use. Future phases will include retail, office, residential, manufacturing and public uses.
An economic impact study prepared by economists at the University of South Florida projects that, upon completion, Lakeside Station Logistics Park may result in the creation of over 18,000 new jobs and an annual spending increase of $2.3 billion.
“When we were approached to participate in the Forum, we were excited for the opportunity to share the possibilities and plans for Lakeside Station Logistics Park, while supporting the local community as these organizations take an active role to bring new businesses into the area,” said Bob Appleyard of Transcend Development. “We look forward to playing a significant role in the future of Plant City and the state of Florida as part of the I-4 Tech Corridor.”
